How Titanium Changes the Build
Titanium is welded under argon shielding with the joint protected on both faces, because the material reacts with air at welding temperature. The workshop's titanium work runs through the same sequence as the stainless range — scan, fixture, bend, weld, face, check — with the shielding discipline the material demands added at the welding bench.
The burnt-blue finish is the material's own heat colour, brought up deliberately and evenly across the part. It is specified on the order; a titanium downpipe can also be supplied without the full colour treatment where a program wants the plain metal.
