2JZ Turbo Manifold

The documented worked example of the turbo manifold line: cast steam-pipe construction, V-band outlet, built for the 2JZ.

The 2JZ turbo manifold is the turbo manifold line's documented worked example: a cast Schedule 40 stainless steam-pipe manifold for the Toyota 2JZ, listed for the Supra Mk4 and the Lexus GS300 on the 2JZ-GE, with a 3.0-inch V-band outlet and a 3 mm wall. Construction, dimensions and fitments are all named for it — the standard of detail the whole range is held to.

Around it sit the neighbouring applications: the 1JZ-GTE VVTI manifold with T3/T4 flange fitment in the same catalogue line, and the RB25 and RB26 manifolds in the JDM group of the manifold family. The others are confirmed in the same inquiry.

Construction of the 2JZ Manifold

Steam-pipe construction means thick-wall tube — here Schedule 40 — welded into a manifold that holds its shape and its flange faces through the heat cycles a turbo six produces. The documented manifold pairs that construction with a cast element in the collector area, the pattern the manifold family uses where a merge is better cast than fabricated.

The outlet is a 3.0-inch V-band, the joint the application's turbo installation uses, and the wall is 3 mm. Flange faces are machined flat after welding, head side and turbo side alike — on a manifold carrying a turbo, both faces are sealing faces.

Fitment: 2JZ-GE, and the Engines Around It

The listing names the 2JZ-GE applications — Supra Mk4 and GS300 — and the manifold is built for that engine's port layout and turbo position. Car and engine names are fitment references for the part, in line with the range's rule: they identify what the manifold fits, nothing more.

The 1JZ and the Nissan RB engines are the adjacent fixtures in the JDM group. A program covering the Japanese straight sixes as a set can be carried on one inquiry: each engine's manifold is a separate fixture and is priced separately, on the same construction pattern. The wider manifold family is built the same way: flanges are CNC billet, milled on a five-axis machining centre to match the OEM cylinder-head profile of each engine, and collectors are formed by casting, wire cutting or 3D printing, whichever the merge requires. The family's fitment groups run from the BMW sixes — S58, B58 and N54 — through the Audi and Volkswagen RS3 and EA888 applications to the Porsche 911 and Lamborghini manifolds the company groups as its super manifold line.

Finishes and Heat Management

Turbo manifolds are finished to the order: ceramic coating for heat management, brushed or polished where the bay is a display bay, and heat shields where the application lists them. On a steam-pipe manifold the coating conversation is worth having at quotation, because the manifold's whole surface is working surface — the finish is specified per program, not defaulted.

Ordering the 2JZ Manifold

Send the engine and the turbo flange or V-band specification you are building to. The reply confirms the manifold's documented specification against your build, prices the neighbouring 1JZ and RB applications if your list includes them, and offers a sample manifold for fitment approval on your own engine before a program commits.

Confirm the 2JZ turbo manifold fitment and get a quote

Send your vehicle, engine and chassis code. Fitment of the the 2JZ turbo manifold is checked against the production fixture before a quotation is issued.
