OEM & ODM Exhaust Systems

Your brand on the range: logo etched at production, your tip design, your packaging, your program.

OEM and ODM are the arrangements under which the range is produced for other brands. OEM covers production of the standing range under your label — your logo engraved or laser etched on the systems, your packaging specification, your tip choices. ODM covers development: parts designed or adapted for your program, through the sample, data or on-car routes, and then produced under the same branding arrangements.

What Private Label Covers

Branding is applied at production, not after it: the logo is engraved or laser etched onto the system while it is in the workshop, so the sample you approve is branded exactly as the bulk order will be. Tip designs are part of the arrangement — the standing carbon, burnt blue and polished designs, or a custom tip developed for your program, since tips are made in-house. Packaging is specified at quotation: box specification, inserts and labelling agreed before the first bulk run, so fulfilment at your end is a warehouse operation, not a repacking one.

Development Under ODM

ODM programs begin on the development routes: send a sample, send data, or book on-car development for the applications your program needs. Customer designs are treated as confidential as a matter of course, and non-disclosure cover is available for exclusive designs — state the exclusivity requirement at inquiry, before samples or data move, so the cover is in place first.

What to Send With Your Inquiry

A private-label quotation is only as complete as the brief behind it. Five pieces of information make the first quotation a full one:

  • The applications the program will cover: vehicles and engine codes
  • The sections and variants per application
  • Your branding assets: logo files for etching, tip design if custom
  • Packaging specification or requirements
  • Whether the program needs OEM (standing range) or ODM (developed parts), or both

Approval Before Bulk

Every program passes through sample approval: the branded sample — logo, tips, finish, packaging — is produced and approved before bulk production is scheduled. The approval sample is the contract in physical form: what it is, the bulk order is. Changes to branding or specification after approval re-enter at sample stage, which is cheaper than learning that lesson from a warehouse.
