Performance Exhaust Systems
Axle-Back Exhaust Systems
The rear section only: muffler, tips and hangers, changed without touching the mid-pipe.
An axle-back system is the rear muffler section of the exhaust: everything from the rear axle to the tailpipe. It is the part of the system that shapes the tailpipe appearance and most of the sound character, and it is the section buyers change when the mid-pipe and front sections are staying on the car. The longer systems that include the mid-pipe sit in the catback range.
Axle-back systems here are built to the same standard as the catback range — same materials, same fixture welding, same tip and finish program — because they are cut from the same designs. Where a vehicle is offered as a full catback, its rear section is generally the axle-back for that vehicle, which keeps fitment data consistent across the two pages.

What an Axle-Back Includes
The unit is the muffler assembly: muffler body, inlet pipe from the axle joint, tailpipes and tips, and the hangers that carry it. Valved applications include the valve hardware in the muffler section, with the same electronic and vacuum options as the catback range.
What it does not include is equally definite: the mid-pipe, the downpipe and any front-section hardware stay with the car. The boundary is precise, because the axle joint is where the two system types divide.
Materials and Finishes for Rear Sections
Rear sections are built in SS304 and in titanium, with the finish program of the full range: brushed and mirror polished stainless, burnt blue on titanium, and vacuum ion plating. Tips are carbon fibre, burnt blue or polished, and custom tip designs run for OEM programs.
Because the rear section is the visible end of the car, finish consistency between the muffler body and the tips is checked at assembly: the two are finished in the same shop, in the same batch, for the order in hand.
Fitment and Ordering
Axle-back fitments mirror the catback coverage: Audi and Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari and Lamborghini applications in current production. Send the vehicle and model year; the reply confirms whether the rear section for that car is a production item and which valve and tip options it carries.
If the car is mid-build and the mid-pipe will change later, say so in the inquiry: the joint specification can be confirmed against the catback version of the same system so the two sections meet cleanly when the car is finished.
